IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT CONCERNING WORSHIP AT ELIZABETH MEMORIAL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
On Sunday, May 31, it is our hopes to initiate new kinds of worship settings. We want you to prayerfully consider what is most comfortable for you and your family. We are listing below the options that are available that day and would like you to respond to email@example.com or call 304-342-7351 and let us know which you would likely choose at this time. Note: this is not a reservation sheet and you are certainly welcome to change your mind. Each service is approximately 30 minutes long.
1) 8:30 AM - We will gather in the parking lot with the left side closed to parking. You are asked to bring a lawn chair and if seated 6' from non-household members, wear a mask. If you are seated 8' or more from others you may remove the mask, but are asked to wear the mask when walking past others or engaging in any conversations. The first row of parking on the right entrance to the parking lot will be reserved for anyone who chooses to remain in their cars for the service. (Please turn off engines). NOTE: If there is inclement weather we will meet in the indoor and outdoor entrance to the church (under cover while still maintaining social distancing). This service will have microphones and speakers.
2) 10:00 AM - We will gather in the sanctuary/all purpose room with ushers seating you beginning at 9:30 AM. Chairs will be arranged to accommodate the size of your family. Each individual or family group will be 6' away from others. You are asked to not move or add any chairs. The worship area is set up in a series of circles with the Pastor in the center. FACEMASKS ARE REQUIRED. If you do not have one with you, one will be provided. If you choose not to wear a face mask, we ask you to consider attending the 8:30 service instead. When worship is over, the ushers will lead us from the sanctuary.
**Both services will allow access to the restrooms and provide hand sanitizer. There will be music by the band, but no singing by the congregation. We will have a Children's time but the children are asked to stay with their families. There will be NO nursery or children/youth Sunday School. Prayer concerns can be texted, telephoned or emailed to the Pastor. There will be no prayer cards or other registrations. Please bring your contributions, there will be a "kettle" to place them in. Also, as you are able, bring groceries for our hungry neighbors! **
3) Facebook Live Stream and EMUMC.org will broadcast the 10:00AM service each Sunday regardless of any change in guidelines. We have purchased new equipment to ensure good quality for sound and picture. For any Sunday you are not able to be with us we hope you will join us on line, and share the sight with others.
